Varsity and Fr/So Boys finish 13th @ Minooka Flight Invite
Saturday, September 17 2011 - Minooka Co-Ed Flight InvitationalOn an absolutely perfect morning for a cross country meet, the Plainfield North Boys XC team took full advantage. The Minooka Flight Invite included a Fr/So race, Open race, as well as flight races in which each team matched up their #1 runners in a race, #2 runners in a race, etc...
Both the varsity and Fr/So teams placed 13th as teams. The story of the meet, however, was the huge personal bests set by many PNHS runners, in what is becoming a weekly trend for the young Tigers squad.
In the Fr/So race, the team ran a great pack race, with the top 5 runners finishing within 15 seconds of each other. Alex Russel led the way with a season PR of 19:26. The top 5 was rounded out by Tim Schank, Kyle Copp, Tanner Thurman, and Ben Wolendowski (season PR's for all 5 young men)
