Freshman Defrancisco leads the way for North on Senior Night; Malec impresses with 48-second lifetime best!

The Plainfield North Boys XC team placed 3rd behind Minooka and Oswego in a triangular meet held at Commissioner's Park on Thursday, Sep. 15.  This is the last home meet of the year for the Tigers, and the team's Seniors were honored before the meet.  This years Seniors include:

In the 3-mile race, freshman Ben Defrancisco led the way for the Tigers.  Defrancisco's time of 17:33 placed him 25th overall, and eclipsed his previous best 3-mile time of 18:03 by 30 seconds!  Sophomore Michael Delaney, running the 2nd cross country race of his career, came in shortly after in a time of 17:44- a 46 second personal best.
Rounding out the top 5 for the Tigers included Cole Goshert (18:45), Jack Malec (18:44- a 54 second PR!), and Michael Jung (19:03).
