Seneca "Twilight in the Woods"- Dan Wooldridge captures the individual title in Varsity race; Fr/So team places 2nd

Friday, September 2 2011 - Seneca Cross Country Invite

Congratulations to the Plainfield North Boys Cross Country team on a successful meet. Dan Wooldridge led the Varsity to a 10th place team finish with his individual victory. Wooldridge won the 2.25 mile shortened course in 11:49, 2 seconds ahead of the second place finisher.

Other varsity runners that rounded out the top 5 include: Cole Goshert (40th- 14:04), Ivan Martinez (72nd- 15:00), John Marsigliu (78th- 15:16), and Mike Bittenbinder (98th- 16:11)

In the Frosh/Soph race, Ben Defrancisco and Michael Jung led the way for Plainfield North. Defrancisco placed 11th in 14:32 and Jung finished just behind in 12th running 14:36. The Frosh/Soph top five was rounded out by Alex Russell (17th- 15:20), Kyle Copp (20th- 15:30), and Keegan McCarthy (23rd- 15:33)

note: due to the extreme heat and humidity, both races were shortened to ~2.25 miles.
