Competitors of the Week

March 12-17

Ryan Maseman (Fr)

Ryan had a great week, running two events at both the FS City Championships on Tuesday and the SPC Indoor Championships on Saturday.  Ryan PRed twice on Tues, anchoring the 4x8 with a split of 2:13.  He came back and ran a 58 in his 400m debut.  On Saturday, Ryan again anchored the FS 4x8, bringing the team from a distance 4th to 3rd place as he caught a runner from Osw East at the line, running a PR split of 2:11!  Keep it rolling Ryan!

Ethan Prior (Sr)

Ethan executed a terrific race plan in the 800m race at SPC Indoor, taking charge of the race with a lap to go and powering home for his 1st SPC Individual Championship, running an Indoor PR 2:00.2.

Josh Peal (So)

On Tues at the FS City meet, Josh took charge of the 1600m race in the middle, keeping the pace honest and went for the win.  He was caught on the last lap by 2 runners, but held on for 3rd place in a lifetime PR and first sub 5, running 4:59!

Jake Rutkowski (So)

In the same race as Josh, Jake ran a smart race, coming on strong the last lap to finish 2nd place, lowering his PR from 5:17 to 4:58!  Jake continues his breakout season, and shows us what can be achieved through hard, consistent work and passion.

Matthew Thomas (So)

Matthew scored a dominating WIN in the 3200m race at the FS City meet, running a PR 10:55.  Matthew has been the surprise of the year for the distance crew, and continues to gain confidence with each meet.
